Material Donations

 
 

Lumber stackHabitat for Humanity York County accepts donations of plywood, lumber, and other surplus building items that can be used in the building process. We do not accept used or, furniture. Please call or e-mail us if you have new or lightly used building materials to donate.

Habitat for Humanity York County appreciates your donations! We refer all material donations that we are unable to store or use to the following ReStore locations. Donations are sold to the public at low prices and the proceeds are used in future Habitat homes.

Greater Portland Habitat for Humanity operates a ReStore, a retail outlet accepting donations of surplus building, remodeling and related materials, supplies and tools and selling them to the public at reasonable prices. ReStore accepts donations from businesses and individuals such as cabinetry, masonry, plumbing and electrical fixtures, replacement doors and windows, countertops, like new hot water heaters, paneling, sinks, tools, wallpaper, flooring, trim, nuts and bolts, fasteners, HVAC and tools.

Requirements: The first requirement is that all products donated to the ReStore must be in good enough condition to sell to the public. With that in mind, click on the following link for general guidelines for donating your item(s) to the Greater Portland ReStore. Donation guidelines

ReStore Location: 83A Bell Street, Portland, Maine Phone: 207-221-0047 Hours: Wednesdays through Friday 10am-5pm, and Saturday 9am-4pm.
Directions: From I-295 take exit 6B and you will be heading on US Rt. 302 West. Continue for 2 Miles until you see Susan's Fish and Chips on your right. Take a right turn onto Morrill Street. (We have a big Habitat sign on Forest Ave. here). Proceed over 1/10th of a mile, until the street ends and bear right into the parking lot. NH Restore logoThe Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity supplies overstocked, discontinued, new and used building materials donated by manufacturers, stores, contractors and individuals. These donated items are sold to the public or used in construction of Habitat houses. Total proceeds from this store benefit SENH Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide safe, decent, affordable, and energy-efficient housing to hard-working, low-income families within our community.
