Meet the Nadeau Family

The Nadeaus were selected from a group of 6 applicant families who were all currently living in Limerick, as stipulated by the Town of Limerick which donated the property. Samantha is in 9th grade at Massabesic High School and Elizabeth attends 1st grade at Line Elementary School. Single mom Tammy works hard to provide for her family by working at Limerick Village Variety.

They broke ground on the property April 19th and patiently waited through the downpours in May which set the project back by several weeks. Once construction began in earnest in June, the home took shape despite the small volunteer force that worked on the project with Tammy and her family. Tammy selected cabinets and floor coverings and the girls made claims for their bedrooms and choose bright blue and pink for their walls. While the girls had hoped to be in the house by the time school starts, they are excited to be moved in before Thanksgiving and the first snowfall .

 


The Nadeau Family waited patiently through the wet spring of 2005 for construction to begin on their home.

Habitat Dedicates 18th Home

The Nadeau Home was finished and dedicated on Saturday, November 12th. More than 60 family members, friends, and Habitat supporters turned out for the ceremony and reception afterward.

David Ferguson, President of the Board of Directors, spoke about the need for more volunteers to make a real impact.

Tammy Nadeau thanked all the volunteers that brought her home from a dream to reality.

Rita Baltas, family partner, presented the Nadeaus wth the family Bible and keys.

Two Journeys

This day comes between two journeys.

The first journey is the dedication of the volunteers building this house, and what a wonderful journey that was.

The second journey is the one that Tammy Nadeau's family will travel in their new home...the beginning of a long and happy journey for all of them.
