Purpose: The Resource Development Committee (RDC) shall manage all communications conducted by HfHYC, organize special events and fundraisers, institute and manage individual and corporate donor programs. The RDC shall also keep HfHYC’s mission and accomplishments before the public so that HfHYC can raise the resources, financial and non-financial necessary to effectively meet its core missions.

Structure: A Board Member who is also a member of the Executive Committee shall chair the RDC. The committee shall consist of the committee chair and 6-8 volunteers.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Communications—Manage e-mail distribution lists. Produce and distribute a Newsletter at least quarterly. Write and distribute press releases on a regular basis to keep HfHYC’s mission and accomplishments before the public;
  • Website—Maintain, update and revise HfHYC’s web site to develop a single source for the latest information regarding all of HfHYC’s missions, including roles for volunteers, monetary donations, corporate donations and recognition, project statuses and timelines;,partner family information, etc.
  • Fundraisers/Special Events—Organize Annual Meeting and special events. Organize fundraisers including yearly events like the Golf Tournament and a walk, etc.
  • Donor Programs—Institute and manage individual donor programs, including testamentary gifting. Institute and manage corporate donor programs, including gifts in kind and ongoing monetary sponsorship. Institute and manage grant and foundation donor programs.
