Habitat in the News
In addition to the guidelines below, which were created in accordance with Maine state regulations and CDC guidance, we have implemented a regular schedule to disinfect all commonly touched surfaces in the ReStore, and touchless hand sanitizer will be available at the store's entrance and exit.
The following procedures are in place to protect our staff, volunteers, donors and shoppers:
Cloth masks or face coverings are required to be worn in store by staff, volunteers, shoppers and donors.
There will be a limit of 15 customers in the store at a time.
We strongly encourage the use of credit and debit cards over cash.
Please maintain a 6 foot distance from others in the store.
We are limiting our volunteer opportunities in the early stages of reopening.
We are grateful to everyone who has held on to their treasures while waiting for the ReStore to open! We have a few new guidelines for donating: Drop off donations will be accepted Wednesday-Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm only. We are only accepting items which are easy to sanitize. Generally, this means non-porous surfaces like wood furniture, tools, and appliances. No upholstered items can be accepted at this time. We recommend you call 207-502-7021 or email to get your donations prescreened. We are doing limited curbside pickups in our truck two days a week. Please call or email to discuss a donation pickup.
If you have donations for us, we will be happy to discuss you
new and gently used items. Call 207-502-7021 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
